Ramshorn Hook Unmachined

DIN 15402‑1 ramshorn hook unmachined parts are drop‑forged or hammer‑forged hook forgings after forging and heat treatment, without thread cutting and final machining.

They serve as raw forgings for subsequent machining to produce finished threaded‑shank ramshorn crane hooks complying with DIN 15402‑2.

Features

  • Semi-finished forging — forged and heat-treated, but without thread cutting or final machining.
  • Balanced double-hook design — symmetrical ramshorn structure ready for two-sling heavy lifting after finishing.
  • Good internal quality — continuous metal flow lines and refined grain structure for heavy-duty performance.
  • Machining allowance reserved — allows custom processing of shank threads and key dimensions.
  • Two options available — with nose or without nose, for different hook block configurations.

Applications

  • As raw blanks for crane factories to machine finished ramshorn hooks (DIN 15402-2).
  • For heavy-duty cranes above 50 tons requiring balanced two-sling lifting.
  • For customers with in-house machining capacity needing custom shank length or special dimensions.
  • Stock supply for manufacturers to shorten hook production cycles.
