Ramshorn Hook
DIN 15402‑2 ramshorn hook finished parts are fully‑machined forged lifting hooks converted from DIN 15402‑1 unmachined hook blanks.
Complete machining including shank thread cutting, bearing surface finishing and dimensional fine‑tuning has been finished. These ready‑to‑install hooks have passed heat‑treatment, proof‑load test and required inspections, and are marked with strength class and working load limit for direct assembly into crane hook suspensions.
– Hook, Nut and Crosshead forged, heat-treated and thread fully machined as per DIN15403 design
– Material: carbon, alloys
– Mechanical properties: M, P, S, T, V
– Load test: requested/recommended after machining
– Certificate: EN10204-3.1
– Standard: DIN 15402 or GB /T 10051
– Type RSN (Drop forged) for single hooks Nos. 1~12
– Type RFN (Hammer forged) for single hooks Nos. 16~250
Features
- Balanced double-hook design — two slings share the load evenly, reducing sling stress during heavy lifting.
- High strength and toughness — achieved by forging and heat treatment, suitable for heavy-duty hoisting.
- Fully machined — precise threads and bearing surfaces for reliable assembly into hook blocks.
- Tested and marked — each hook passes proof load test and is marked with strength grade and working load limit.
- Safety latch available — prevents slings from slipping off the hook throat.
Applications
- Heavy-duty overhead cranes and gantry cranes, mainly above 50 tons.
- Port and dock machinery, such as portal cranes and container handling equipment.
- Metallurgical cranes for lifting steel ladles and heavy components.
- Balanced lifting of large workpieces in heavy machinery manufacturing.
